Happy New Year!!! Bring on 2009!!

Happy New Year everyone! Boy, 2008 sure was a good year! It went by fast. This was Daddy's first year "on the street" with PCSO. He worked lots of crazy hours, but it was much better than having him away at the academy. Mommy, Daddy and I welcomed home baby brother Zachary in October, so now I am a big sister just like Mikaela!
Lots of people came to bring in the new year with us. Great-grandma, Auntie Denyse, Uncle Kirk, Auntie Susan, Uncle Nick, Regina, Jeff, Tristen and Taylor came to visit. The family rented a house in Maricopa again, and everyone stayed there.

Since I wasn't going to make it to midnight without a nap, Uncle Kirk took one with me. I slept a good three hours to prepare myself for a late night!!

We had yummy food: A Honeybaked Ham, a Honeybaked Turkey breast, artichoke dip, scalloped potatoes, cheesy onions, Santa Fe salad, and LOTS of desserts. I ate with my new friend Taylor. I really liked the ham. I didn't have just seconds, I had thirds and fourths!

The best part of New Year's was making noise!! Happy New Year everyone! It is going to be a great year...I just know it!

Merry Christmas 2008

Merry Christmas! Or, let me sing you my favorite song! Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, jingle all the way. Oh what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh- HEY!
Santa came to my house! He came and ate my cookies and drank my milk! He didn't eat all the cookies though...grandma said because he eats cookies at everyone's house. Mine were special with red and green M&M's in them. I think the reindeer were even in my house because the carrots were gone too!!! He brought me exactly what I asked for - a princess BARBIE!! Actually, he brought me two!
I woke up at 8:00 and got Mommy, Daddy and Zachary. Grandma was already awake downstairs ready to take some pictures. I couldn't believe how many presents were under the tree! They looked so pretty. Besides my Barbies, I got a My Little Pony with a DVD, some art stuff, some clothes, stickers, and a Dora Playdough Playground. I got a pack of princess crayons that fit inside a little Tinkerbelle lunchbox. I can carry it around like a little purse and can draw anywhere!
After we opened presents, Mommy and Grandma started cooking dinner. It smelled so yummy. Dave came over and brought more cookies. (Have I mentioned that I LOVE Christmas cookies??) He also brought his camara. (He took all of the pictures on this posting.)
For dinner we had ham, cheesy potatoes, green bean cassarole, rolls, and salad. I ate salad. Really, I was too excited to eat. I wanted to play, and I wanted Dave to take more pictures of me!
Christmas was so much fun. I really like to stay home with Mommy, Daddy, Zachary and Grandma.

Phoenix Zoo

Today Mommy, Daddy, Zachary and I went to the Phoenix Zoo. Maybe it's because Mommy watches too much Animal Planet, but I was a little afraid of the big animals behind the fences. I saw lots of neat animals once I warmed up to being there though. I wouldn't look at the tiger because I was too afraid of him. Daddy picked me up and showed me the sleeping lions. The lady lion was up on a big rock getting some sun while the boy lion was laying in the shade. They were so big. My favorite animals to look at were the giraffes. They are so big and have such long necks.
The zoo also has a "petting zoo." Daddy and I went into a barn and were able to pet the goats. They were so sweet. I made sure I went up to each and every one of them so that nobody felt left out. They all had names on their collars. I said hi to them and patted each on the head. There were also sheep that I was able to stick my hand through a fence and pet.
All in all it was a pretty good day at the zoo. I wasn't too big on the tigers or the monkey habitat, but the rest was neat. We watched as the trainer tried to get the great big elephant to come out of the back and into her enclosure, but "Reba" didn't want to. She just stood there shaking her trunk no.

Being a Big Sister is Hard!

Wow, being a big sister is hard....and tiring too! Zachary does three things - he eats, he poops and he sleeps. It just takes him so long to eat in Mommy's arms, and there are things I need her for. So, I find that sometimes I have to find a way to do things myself. It makes me sleepy. Today I decided to curl up on the rocking chair in the other room all by myself. I was sleepy, but I didn't want to go upstairs alone for a nap.

Mommy and I have been trying to do things a few times a week - just me and her. Last week we went to my friends' house. Mommy got to chat with her friend Miss Stephanee, and I got to play with my friends Max and Nicolas. Then, the next day, we went to Pacana Park and had a picnic with Miss Stephanee, Max and Nicolas. It was fun. I like to spend time alone with my mommy. Even just going to the store and running errands with her is fun.

I have learned my right from my left. Mommy was very impressed today. In the car my left sandal fell off my foot and onto the floor. I told her, "Mommy, my left sandal fell down." She said, "what??" I told her again, "My left sandal fell off." She cheered for me....really, who gets that excited when a shoe comes off a foot? Silly Mommy.

BOO - hoo!

Well, Halloween isn't all it is cracked up to be people. Tell me, who in the world came up with talking scarecrows?! And, who in the world puts them in the dark outside their door to scare little princesses? I'll tell you....the people 5 house down do! That scarecrow scared the Halloween right out of me. Mommy, Daddy, Zachary and I walked around a little bit after that, but I didn't want to trick-or-treat anymore. I told Mommy it is ok and maybe next year. I think she was sad that she couldn't raid my candy bag.

He's Here!!!!!

My baby brother is here! His name is Zachary Isaiah Myers. He is 9 days old today. He is pretty cute, but he doesn't do much. He sleeps a lot. He is also attached to Mommy an awful lot. Did you know that mommies have milk in their boobies??? Amazing, I know! I thought it only came from the grocery store! I like to help my mommy change his diaper, but we have to be careful because he sprays. Daddy keeps telling Mommy to use the pee-pee tee-pees, but she keeps forgetting. I can help get the diapers out though. Also, I can help pick out what he is going to wear. I don't get to feed him yet, but when he is done eating, I get to help put him in his chair. He sleeps most of the day. I like that because then Mommy can watch movies with me and play with me. Both Mommy and Daddy are home with me and Zachary. We get to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner together. Also, we get to play when Mommy isn't sleeping. Mommy has been sleeping a lot. I think it is because Zachary is awake a lot at nighttime when it is really bedtime.
Tomorrow is Halloween! Stay tuned. Am I going to be Tinkerbelle or Snow White?
