Being a Big Sister is Hard!

Wow, being a big sister is hard....and tiring too! Zachary does three things - he eats, he poops and he sleeps. It just takes him so long to eat in Mommy's arms, and there are things I need her for. So, I find that sometimes I have to find a way to do things myself. It makes me sleepy. Today I decided to curl up on the rocking chair in the other room all by myself. I was sleepy, but I didn't want to go upstairs alone for a nap.

Mommy and I have been trying to do things a few times a week - just me and her. Last week we went to my friends' house. Mommy got to chat with her friend Miss Stephanee, and I got to play with my friends Max and Nicolas. Then, the next day, we went to Pacana Park and had a picnic with Miss Stephanee, Max and Nicolas. It was fun. I like to spend time alone with my mommy. Even just going to the store and running errands with her is fun.

I have learned my right from my left. Mommy was very impressed today. In the car my left sandal fell off my foot and onto the floor. I told her, "Mommy, my left sandal fell down." She said, "what??" I told her again, "My left sandal fell off." She cheered for me....really, who gets that excited when a shoe comes off a foot? Silly Mommy.

BOO - hoo!

Well, Halloween isn't all it is cracked up to be people. Tell me, who in the world came up with talking scarecrows?! And, who in the world puts them in the dark outside their door to scare little princesses? I'll tell you....the people 5 house down do! That scarecrow scared the Halloween right out of me. Mommy, Daddy, Zachary and I walked around a little bit after that, but I didn't want to trick-or-treat anymore. I told Mommy it is ok and maybe next year. I think she was sad that she couldn't raid my candy bag.

He's Here!!!!!

My baby brother is here! His name is Zachary Isaiah Myers. He is 9 days old today. He is pretty cute, but he doesn't do much. He sleeps a lot. He is also attached to Mommy an awful lot. Did you know that mommies have milk in their boobies??? Amazing, I know! I thought it only came from the grocery store! I like to help my mommy change his diaper, but we have to be careful because he sprays. Daddy keeps telling Mommy to use the pee-pee tee-pees, but she keeps forgetting. I can help get the diapers out though. Also, I can help pick out what he is going to wear. I don't get to feed him yet, but when he is done eating, I get to help put him in his chair. He sleeps most of the day. I like that because then Mommy can watch movies with me and play with me. Both Mommy and Daddy are home with me and Zachary. We get to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner together. Also, we get to play when Mommy isn't sleeping. Mommy has been sleeping a lot. I think it is because Zachary is awake a lot at nighttime when it is really bedtime.

Painting Baby Brother's Room

Daddy and I painted Baby Brother's room on Sunday. I was so excited to paint that it was all I could talk about for days. Grandma gave me a t-shirt to put on so that I didn't get paint on my clothes. Daddy bought me a special paintbrush to use. Mommy put down a garbage bag so that I didn't spill on the carpet. It didn't work very well, but I really tried my best. Mommy spent a lot of time on the floor cleaning up after me and Daddy! The first picture is of me waiting patiently for Daddy to finish taping the ceiling. It didn't really take too long, but I was being impatient because I really wanted to get started. Once we got started, I became a little Monet. I got to paint two walls, and then I got bored with it. I went downstairs to play with Grandma. When Daddy was finished, he had us come look at the room. Mommy was so happy with it, but I was so sad that I couldn't see my painting anymore! Mommy and Daddy say it is still there, just next to Daddy's painting. I think Baby Brother is going to love his room. I can't wait to show him how I painted it!

My Princess Bed

Today was the best day of my whole life! Grandma had a big suprise for me when I got up this morning. She and Mommy put a car seat in Grandma's truck, and Grandma told me that we were going to go shopping! We went to the store to buy the covers for my new bed. Ohhhh, I knew exactly what I wanted! It's a good thing I went to the store with Grandma because the comforter that I fell in love with is PINK! It has beautiful Princess Aurora, Cinderella and Belle on it. It is PERFECT for my bedroom! I was so excited to go home and put my new bed together. Grandma and I washed all of my new covers, and Grandma put everything on my bed. When I saw it all put together I couldn't help but shreak and dance in excitement. I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! Isn't is beautiful?!?!?

Getting Ready for Baby....

Hi everyone. Time is flying by. Mommy tells me that in about six weeks my baby brother is going to be here. I have been helping her change the house around. Yesterday we cleaned out a closet. Today we started cleaning out my room and Mikaela's room. Mikaela and I are going to share my room soon so that the baby can have his own room. Mommy says babies sleep a lot, so they need their own space. There is a lot to do in the next few weeks! I'm excited about changing my bedroom! I want a princess bed! Mommy is taking me tomorrow to buy a dresser for Mikaela and I to share.

Mommy went back to work three weeks ago, so I went back to Miss Tammie's house. It is nice to see my friends again. I have a lot of fun over there. Miss Tammie got a new house right around the block from us! Mommy and Daddy were happy because it is closer, and Mommy and I don't have to cross the dangerous highway anymore. Miss Tammie has a huge backyard with lots of grass. We get to run around outside with her puppy, Tucker. He is a boxer, just like my Apollo, Bailey and Cassidy!

Daddy is still working lots. He works during the days right now, but in a few weeks he will be at work while Mommy and I are sleeping. After baby brother is born, he is going to stay home with us for four weeks! I keep telling Mommy that I will help her take care of baby brother, but she and Daddy seem to think it is going to take two of them to take care of the two of us!

Mikaela went back to her home in California. She was here for 5 weeks over the summer. I had so much fun playing with her. Before she left, we took a family picture. Aren't we adorable? I hope everyone is well. Talk to you soon!

I'm 3!!!!!!!!!

Yep, I'm 3! I had a birthday party on Saturday, June 21st. My Uncle Kirk, Auntie Denyse, Great-Grandma, Uncle Nick, Auntie Susan...just to name a few, all came to visit me. I had such a good time and got lots of neat presents. Can you see my balloons in the background? I loved those balloons.

My aunties, uncles and great-grandma rented a house here in Maricopa for the weekend that they were here. It was so cool because it had a pool and a pool table. We spent most of our time over there.

Let's see, now that I am 3 I can do a whole bunch of neat things. I can color inside the lines now. I love to color. It is one of my favorite things to do. Also, I like to draw people and animals. (I just don't like to draw whale-sharks.) Mommy is trying to get me to go potty like a big girl, but I don't always feel like it. It means I have to take a break from whatever I am doing. Who has the time?!? But lately Mommy has been giving me a surprise after I potty like a big girl, and I find that a bit irresistible. Who can pass up chocolate? I mean, I am my mommy's daughter aren't I? I also like to dress up like a princess and sing princess songs. Grandma got me a new Snow White dress for my birthday. I think I am going to save it and be Snow White for Halloween. Last year, Pink Cinderella got me lots of candy, so I am sure Snow White will too!

Mommy has another ultrasound on July 22nd. Mikaela and I get to go with her and Daddy to see pictures of our little brother. Did I tell you Mikaela is here? She is here for 5 whole weeks! I'm having lots of fun playing with her! Speaking of which, I better go play now! Talk to you all soon.
